Experience timeless jazz
that has traveled the world! Manouche N.W. is the concert series that connects people to something new but familiar. The series brings musicians from across the globe and from Washington’s own backyard. Christine Tassan et Les Imposteures’ sublimely combines the music of France and Quèbèc. Pearl Django is responsible for the American renaissance of Manouche jazz. Meanwhile, the Hot Club of Troy presents a pure Django Reinhardt tradition. From the Netherlands, Tim Kliphuis brings his powerful violin, embodying the spirit of Stephane Grappelli, with Jimmy Grant from southern California on guitar. Finally, the season wraps it up with Bellingham’s contribution to this growing tradition with Nuages. This music is powerful, soulful, and brilliant! It’s jazz that stands in the past and still looks forward. Come be part of this folk-jazz tradition!
